Andrew Walenstein

Andrew Walenstein is an experienced technology innovator with 25 years of experience in tackling complex problems and developing novel solutions. He brings deep and broad expertise in AI, cybersecurity, software engineering, and human-centric development drawn from a diverse career spanning academia, industry, and academic-industry partnerships.
Andrew spent 12 years at BlackBerry in diverse roles, from individual contributor to team, product, and project leads. As a Senior Director of BlackBerry Labs, he developed innovation teams and innovation pipelines to create business opportunities, and to empower targeted investment strategies. He served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and is the author/co-author of dozens of publications and patents in cybersecurity and AI.
